How to use WebP to JPG

  1. Drag and drop or browse to select your WebP image.
  2. Set the output format to JPEG and choose a quality level (85 % is a good default).
  3. Click "Convert and Download" to save the JPG file to your device.

What is WebP to JPG?

WebP is efficient for web delivery, but many design workflows, email clients, and legacy applications still expect JPEG files. Converting WebP to JPG gives you a universally accepted format without needing to install any additional software.

Because JPG does not support transparency, any transparent areas in the WebP will be flattened onto a white background during conversion. If the source WebP was lossy, those compression artefacts carry into the JPG — converting between lossy formats does introduce a small additional quality loss, so keep your WebP originals as master files where possible.

Adjust the quality slider to control the JPG file size. A setting of 85–92 % typically yields excellent visual results at a reasonable file size.

FAQ

Will transparency in the WebP be preserved in the JPG?
No. JPG does not support an alpha channel, so transparent areas are composited onto a white background in the converted file.
Does converting from WebP to JPG cause quality loss?
Converting between two lossy formats does introduce a small additional quality penalty. For critical work, keep the original WebP and only produce a JPG when required by a specific tool or workflow.
What quality setting should I use?
85–92 % is the most common sweet spot: the visual difference from 100 % is imperceptible to most people, but the file is significantly smaller. Use 70–80 % for thumbnails where file size is the top priority.
