How to use AVIF to JPG

  3. Click "Convert and Download" to save the JPG file to your device.

What is AVIF to JPG?

AVIF delivers tiny files at high quality, but it is still a relatively new format and many tools, marketplaces, and devices only accept JPG. Converting AVIF to JPG gives you a file that is accepted virtually everywhere.

JPEG uses lossy compression and has no transparency, so any transparent areas in the AVIF are flattened onto a white background. Use the quality slider to balance file size against fidelity — 85–92% is the usual sweet spot for photos on the web.

The conversion decodes your AVIF with the browser's image engine and re-encodes it as JPEG entirely on your device.

FAQ

Will transparency be lost converting AVIF to JPG?
Yes. JPG does not support transparency, so any transparent pixels in your AVIF are composited onto a white background during conversion. Choose PNG or WebP if you need to keep transparency.
What quality setting should I use?
For most web photos, 85 to 92% gives a noticeably smaller file with no visible loss. Lower the slider for smaller files when some artefacts are acceptable.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. All conversion happens in your browser with the Canvas API. Your image never leaves your device.
