PDF Text Watermark
NEWStamp a text watermark like CONFIDENTIAL or DRAFT across all pages of your PDF. Tile it across the page or place one centered diagonal — fully adjustable.
How to use PDF Text Watermark
- Upload your PDF file.
- Enter your watermark text (e.g. CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, DO NOT COPY).
- Choose tiling (repeated) or centered diagonal, and adjust font size, opacity, rotation, and color.
- Preview page 1, then click Watermark and Download to save the stamped PDF.
What is PDF Text Watermark?
This tool uses pdf-lib to draw bold Helvetica text with adjustable opacity, rotation, font size, and color onto every page (or a selected range). Unlike image-based watermarks, text watermarks stay crisp at any zoom level and add negligible file size.
A preview of page 1 is rendered client-side via pdf.js so you can see exactly how the watermark will look before downloading. All processing is done locally in your browser — your PDF never leaves your device.
FAQ
- What's the difference between this and the Image PDF Stamp?
- This tool stamps TEXT (like CONFIDENTIAL or DRAFT) using built-in PDF fonts. The PDF Image Stamp tool overlays an image (like a logo or signature). Text watermarks are crisper and add almost no file size.
- Can I watermark only specific pages?
- Yes. Use the Pages field to specify a range like '1-3' or individual pages like '1,3,5', or leave 'all' for every page.
- Will the watermark be selectable or removable?
- The text is drawn as vector graphics in the PDF content stream. It is not selectable as text and cannot be easily removed without a PDF editor. For stronger protection, set a higher opacity.
