How to use PDF Book Fold / Imposition

  1. Upload your PDF.
  2. Choose Booklet (saddle-stitch) or 2-Up layout.
  3. Review the new page order and sheet layout in the preview.
  4. Download the imposed PDF, ready for double-sided printing.

What is PDF Book Fold / Imposition?

Choose Booklet for saddle-stitch imposition: pages are reordered so that when printed double-sided, folded, and stapled along the spine, the pages read in the correct sequence (page N pairs with page 1, N-1 with 2, and so on). Choose 2-Up for a simple side-by-side layout without reordering. If your page count is odd, a blank page is added automatically. The output is landscape sheets with two pages per sheet, ready for printing.

FAQ

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No — everything runs locally in your browser using WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device.
How do I print the booklet?
Print the output PDF double-sided (duplex), flipping on the short edge. Then fold the stack in half and staple along the spine (saddle-stitch).
What happens if my PDF has an odd number of pages?
A blank page is automatically added at the end so the booklet imposition works correctly. You'll see a note in the tool when this happens.
