How to use PDF Overlay / Stamp

  1. Upload your base PDF (the document to stamp onto).
  2. Upload a second overlay PDF (stamp, watermark, or letterhead).
  3. Choose overlay (on top) or underlay (behind) mode.
  4. Check 'Repeat' for single-page stamps, then click Stamp & Download.

What is PDF Overlay / Stamp?

PDF Overlay stamps the content of a second PDF onto every page of your base PDF. Use overlay mode to put content on top (watermarks, stamps, logos) or underlay mode to place content behind (letterhead, borders, static backgrounds). Each page of the overlay repeats for each page of the base when the repeat option is checked — perfect for single-page stamps applied to multi-page documents.

All processing runs locally in your browser via qpdf WASM. Your files never leave your device.

FAQ

What's the difference between overlay and underlay?
Overlay puts the second PDF's content ON TOP of the base page (good for watermarks and stamps). Underlay puts it BEHIND (good for letterhead and page borders).
Can I stamp on only certain pages?
By default, the overlay is applied to all pages (1-z). Use the 'Repeat overlay for each page' checkbox for single-page overlays.
Will this change my PDF's content?
The base PDF content is preserved. Only the overlay content is added on top or behind — nothing is removed.
